Very high quality guitars, on par with Agile for sure. Dude if you're going to buy a Dillion, Dillion Canada is where you want to buy from. The canadian dillions are made in korea though. So the US and the Canadian dillions are completely differnt now.įrom what i understand, the US dillions are not made in korea like they are advertised, but are made in china and indonesia. And i'm almost sure that those are the same people who are making agile guitars too. And then tokai got into some legal issues with japanese original tokai company, so dillion came back out. Those guys also came out with Roxbury guitars. With that said, whatever lil money they did have, they merged with another company/group to come out with tokai canada. The america distributor changed his name to 'john dillion' and through blood-guitar, he took over the entire company and even sued the canadian owner of the company and got him very close to bankruptcy. It was originally a canadian company with a distributor in america and in canada. However, even before tokai, dillion used to exist as a harmonized company found in the US and Canada. It was this guy: tokai-canada ran into some legal issues, and then they changed the name, and came out with dillion canada. It was the tokai NLP-40 that looked like a PRS. But it was under the name of tokai at the time.ĭillion USA is an independently owned company selling Korean made recreations and variations of the worlds most famous vintage electric guitars, basses and acoustic.
